About Us

The Lawrence Princeton Nassau Hockey Association (LPNHA) is a non-profit volunteer organization that offers beginner, recreational and travel hockey programs.

LPNHA is comprised of parents, coaches, and players who are able to keep travel hockey, and youth sports in general, in proper perspective. We help our children to develop not only hockey skills but also life skills --- sportsmanship, teamwork, dedication, hard work, and leadership. Above all, we hope that both parents and players will make new friends and have FUN.

Princeton Youth Hockey was changed to Princeton Junior Tigers in the 2023-24 season.

A beginner level program for our youngest players to improve their skating and stick skills while also participating in small-sided games. The goal of the Tiger Cubs program is to introduce hockey in a fun, high-energy environment and provide the kids with the base skill set necessary to join our Nassau House Hockey or U8 travel teams upon completion.

Established in 1987, Nassau House is a recreational level weekend program for our players to improve their skating and stick skills alongside participation in game play. The goal of Nassau House Hockey is to provide participants with a fun and developmental hockey experience where they can progress toward future participation with Nassau House Hockey or with our U10-U12 travel teams.

Starting with the 2023-24 season, LPNHA plans to field USA Hockey Tier 2 (AA or A) travel girls teams under the Princeton Junior Tigers name. PJT Girls is a member of the Atlantic Amateur Hockey Association (AAHA) and competes in the Mid Atlantic Women's Hockey Association (MAWHA).

Independent 8U Girls Team: The primary goal of the independent Girls team is to create relationships and provide a fun opportunity for the female youth players to play together. There is no tryout, the independent 8U Girls team will be open to all girls on a PJT 8U travel team and are a complement to the girl's primary Princeton Junior Tigers co-ed team. The independent 8U girls team will play a small non-league schedule against other 8U girls teams in the area and also participate in the MAWHA Mite Jamborees. The first 8U Girls team started play in the 2022-23 season.

All of our programs have access to three of the premier skating facilities in the area, historic Hobey Baker Arena at Princeton University, Tsai Fieldhouse Rink at The Lawrenceville School and the Lisa McGraw Rink at Princeton Day School. The Lawrenceville School is in the midst of an exciting expansion which included a brand-new ice arena in 2022 and the Princeton Day School recently completed an amazing expansion and renovations at the fieldhouse surrounding their rink.
